An Exhausting Day

Let the school supply shopping begin!  (Ugh, do we have to?)

I spent a great part of my day today determing where the best prices were and what store I actually wanted to spend time at to get some great deals.  I was able to make it to Staples and Walgreens today for supplies and Target for shoes.  Here are my tallies:
  • 2 Index Card cases
  • 2 Pencil cases
  • 3 Elmer's glue stick 2 pks
  • 2 Jumbo glue stick 2 pks
  • 2 Rulers
  • 30 pk Mechanical pencils
  • Sharpie fine point 2 pk
  • 2 Lunch bags - insulated
  • 3 Backpacks/totes
  • 3 Composition books
  • 5 folders - 2 pocket with clasps
  • 2 colored pencil 12 pks
  • 3 Filler paper 130 ct
  • 12 highlighters
  • 16 black pens
  • 2 reams 500 ct copy paper
  • 3 pairs 8" scissors
  • 6 rolls scotch tape
  • 2 pencil pouch kits complete with stapler, 50 staples, 8 "ruler, 5" scissors, glue stick, pencil sharpener & eraser
Total spent $81.55 with a rebate of $29.92 for a net total of $51.63!!  Then, at Target, I was able to grab 3 pairs of tennis shoes (and not the cheap kind!) for a total of 37.14!!  We're talkin' Converse and Swiss Gear, no generics!!  Top quality shoes for less than $12.50 a pair!

While it is a fine line between grabbing some sales now and waiting for the Sales Tax Holiday, I don't enjoy the pressure of doing it all in 3 days.  But, I probably will save most of the clothes shopping for then, unless something really good comes along!  I'll keep you posted!
