1950's Housewife Challenge - Day 12

The challenge: You can't say anything negative about your husband ...to your husband...or to anyone else, about your husband. Also, you must say something that you admire or appreciate about your husband...to your husband...and to someone else, about your husband.

Ephesians 4:2  Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.  Sometimes it is necessary to look inside ourselves when things are not going right rather than looking for others to change.  Ask yourself:  "Am I more patient and gracious with strangers and guests than those who live in my home?"  Also ask yourself:  "Are my expectations unrealistic or unreasonable?"  If we are looking to God for all of our needs to be met, we will have a new perspective on how to respond to others.

If you have written a post to admire your husband, please share it with me!  If you don't have a husband yet, feel free to post about your prayers for your future husband.  Also, feel free to use the comments section here to write your post if you do not have your own blog.

Our next assignment from Courtney this week is to make a list of 5 things you currently do and ask your husband to prioritize them for you, what is important to him.  Here are some examples:  home-cooked dinners, clean home, your church service, coupon clipping/money saving, your participation in his favorite activity, etc.

Home Economics tip for the day:  Minimize All Noise:  At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise from the washer, dryer, or vacuum.  Encourage the children to be quiet.
