1950's Housewife Challenge - Day 14

The challenge: You can't say anything negative about your husband ...to your husband...or to anyone else, about your husband. Also, you must say something that you admire or appreciate about your husband...to your husband...and to someone else, about your husband.

2 Peter 3:18  Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To Him be the glory both now and forever.  Amen.  Today's lesson is two-fold, as many of them are.  First, make sure that you are growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ to put your spiritual life in perspective and make all of the other things in your life fall into place.  Second, look for ways that your husband is growing spiritually and encourage him in these areas.  Continue to pray for your husband, including his spiritual growth.

Home Economics tip of the day:  Make Him Comfortable:  Have a cool or warm drink ready for him.  Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or suggest that he lie down in the bedroom.  Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes.  Speak in a low, soothing voice.  Allow him to relax and unwind.

Now, before you say, "When is my chance to relax and unwind?" let's remember the Home Economics tip from Day 9:  Prepare yourself.
