1950's Housewife Challenge - Day 18

The challenge: You can't say anything negative about your husband ...to your husband...or to anyone else, about your husband. Also, you must say something that you admire or appreciate about your husband...to your husband...and to someone else, about your husband.

OK, well, we're a little off schedule now, but I think that it will actually help us end up more in sync.  I really hope you are reading this series and enjoying it.  I would love to hear from you!  How have you done with the main challenge (above)?  What about the weekly items?

My husband and I did the priority list this past week and it was quite eye-opening!  First of all, it was very difficult for me to keep the list down to just five items, but my husband graciously assisted me in crossing a couple of things off the list.  While the list was very personal, so I won't share, it was an amazing experience and I look forward to reviewing it again with him in a few weeks to see how it stacks up!

This week's challenge from Courtney is to support his vision.  Ask your husband where he sees your family in one, five and ten years.  Share with us how you let your husband lead your family.

Matthew 6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.  Some advice from Nancy today:  "If we are living in light of eternity, everything we think, do or say is seen from an eternal perspective.  We will someday give an account for our failure to speak words of love and encouragement.  Determine today that your words will be sweet and helpful."  Nancy goes on to say that we should look at our husband's perspective and use this as an opportunity to praise him and pray for him.

We've had all of our Home Economics tips from our 1950's era textbook.  What did you think of them?  Have you been able to put any of them into practice?
