Restocking the Pantry

Very recently, we've had two large families in need of supplies from our church's pantry.  In an effort to restock, I'd like to give an example of how far a dollar can go.  Actually, about $70.  A few of the items in the first picture were donated by a very gracious lady here in town.

Most everything else was purchased at Publix, CVS and Target over the past 10 days.  Here is the tally:

• 23 canned goods
• 4 bottles of lotion
• 6 "Huge" rolls of paper towels
• 24 double rolls of toilet paper
• 4 bars of soap
• 3 body wash
• 2 shampoo
• bread crumbs
• 2 jars of peanut butter
• 1 box of popcorn
• 1 bottle of olive oil
• 5 boxes of pasta
• 3 boxes of cereal
• 2 cans of cooked chicken
• 2 large bottles of pasta sauce
• 2 air freshener sprays
• 1 package of pantiliners
• and a reusable shopping bag

What about you:  how far can you stretch $70?

Amazing Baby Shower Gift Options!

I just took advantage of this great offer, maybe you will be able to do the same!

Just go to the Udder Covers website and select the nursing cover you would like for yourself or for someone you know that is expecting a baby.  Use the promotion code:  Family2010 when you checkout and you will pay only shipping!

These make great baby shower gifts and look like beautiful fabric choices.  I'll let you know how mine is as soon as I receive it!

PLUS, when you checkout, look for a special additional promotion code for a huge discount on a baby sling from Sevenslings!

"Baby wearing" has become all the rage for new moms and these slings too look like beautiful fabric choices.  I've heard they run small, so make sure to check the sizing chart before you order.  Once again, you may be able to pay only shipping!
